Macauley Road is a residential project in Clapham, London. In 2018 we were commissioned to manufacture and install a dark contemporary floor, a staircase in the same wood, and exterior joinery to the apartments and marketing suite. For the floors, we used oak boards, core smoked, surface raked, then finished with coloured oils and over coated with natural oil on the surface. The wood used within this project added a bohemian interior, bringing warmth and individuality to the property. The stairs were manufactured using the same wood as the flooring of the property, to ensure continuity of the interior. The dark wood was contrasted with white walls, enhancing its colour and texture. It was also complimented by a matching hand rail with brass accents.
